Scientific program
Contributions
The timeslot for each presentation is 20 minutes including 5 minutes of a Q&A session.
The colloquium is planned as highly interactive, so interruptions are allowed at any time.
It is suggested that every speaker checks the compatibility of his/her computer with a projector before the start of a session. In case of no own computer, there is a possibility to use a computer of the organizers.
Note that a speaker must be a matured researcher, i.e., at least have a Ph.D. degree.
Ph.D. students and post-docs with no invitation for a talk are warmly welcome to participate after paying a reduced registration fee that provides access to the full program of the colloquium. They are encouraged to prepare and present an abstract. If you prefer to get a poster printed on-site, it is required to send it at least one week before the event.
Abstracts
The submitted 2-page abstracts will be collected in the books of abstracts that will be given to every participant upon arrival at the colloquium venue.
As communicated in the invitation email, the abstracts will also be used to form a basis for an overview paper reporting the recent trends in acoustic and mechanical metamaterials presented and discussed at the colloquium. We expect every speaker to be co-authored in this paper. In this way, we expect to reach the broad metamaterials community by summarizing the latest findings and trends in the field.
Special issue
In addition to the overview paper, we encourage the participants to contribute to the topical collection “ Emerging topics in acoustic and mechanical metamaterials ” with your own paper(s).
Together with the technical editors' team, we guarantee a fair high-quality review process and fast publication time.
